The Mossyrock Mat Monsters took a group of youth wrestlers to compete at the Mat Classic State Tournament at the Tacoma Dome yesterday β and they brought home hardware!

The Mossyrock PTO Community Showcase and Nacho Bar Social will be held on February 26 at 5:30 PM in the multipurpose room. This family-friendly event is hosted by the Mossyrock PTO and will feature local clubs, activities, and a free nacho bar. Please see the attached flyer for full details. Kyle Brockway (6 seed) won his first match, he will shortly be competing in his 2nd.
Trev Kaech (22 seed) upset the number 11 seed in his first match, he will also be competing in his 2nd match shortly.
Atreyewe Brown won his first match but fell to the number 3 seed in his 2nd.
Girls:
Bailey Gross (6 seed) received a bye in the first round, in her 2nd match she pinned her opponent. She will face the number 3 seed next.
Coco Baldwin lost her first match, but will be facing a Davenport Gorilla next. Good luck to her!
Charley Berteaux pinned her first round opponent but then was pinned by the number 1 seed in her next match.
Ana Mendoza lost her first match but still has matches left. Good luck to all of our athletes! Keep making us proud.

Possible winter weather tonight into tomorrow. If we are forced to call a two-hour delay tomorrow due to inclement weather and road conditions, the school district will operate on a flipped day. Meaning school will be in session until 3:00 pm as it would be on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Fridayβno release at 1:30.

Today our wrestlers competed at Regionals. Kyle Brockway finished 3rd, Trev Kaech 5th, and Atreyewe Brown was 9th. All 3 qualified for State in 2 weeks. The girls wrestling regionals starts next weekend.
At half, the Vikings lead 38-34. Both teams have multiple people in foul trouble.
Colby Cournyer stats the game with a 3 and was fouled. Vikings start up 4-0.
Mossy is up 8-6 4min in.
The game is being shown up Hudl TV, not NFHS.
