Tonight's JV Girls Basketball Game v Toledo will be 2 Quarters only. Because of this change the starting time will be 6:00, not 5:45. The varsity game will try to start as close to 7:00 as possible.

Mossyrock Band Director Dylan Patrick was selected to participate in the 2026 Rose Parade as part of Saluting Americaβs Band Directors.
The ensemble will feature more than 350 musicians from across the country, including Mexico, Canada, and Panama coming together to celebrate excellence in music education and to recognize the dedication of band directors nationwide.
The 2026 Rose Parade appearance represents the third major parade performance for Saluting Americaβs Band Directors, following previous appearances in the 2022 Rose Parade and the 2023 Macyβs Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Mr. Patrick will perform on the sousaphone.
βThis is an incredible opportunity and a true honor,β said Patrick. βBeing part of something on this scale allows me to show my students that music doesnβt end after high schoolβit can stay with you throughout your life, open doors to unforgettable experiences, and connect you with people from across the country. Beyond the performance itself, the travel, collaboration, and shared pride in representing our schools and communities make this trip especially meaningful.β

From candy canes and camo, to pajamas, ugly sweaters, holiday socks, and everything in between β our students and staff brought so much fun, creativity, and school spirit all week long. These smiles say it all!
As Spirit Week comes to an end, we are excited to kick off Winter Break. We want to thank our families, students, and staff for making our schools such a joyful place to be.

Winter Break Head Checks Reminder
As we head into Winter Break, now is a great time to do a quick head check at home for lice and address any concerns early before family get togethers.
If treatment is needed, one non-chemical option some families choose is a mayonnaise treatment: apply about one cup evenly over the scalp and hair, leave on for 8β10 hours, then wash out as normal. This method can also act as a deep conditioner for hair. As a preventive measure, tea tree oil shampoo may be helpful for some families.
There are also over-the-counter lice treatments available, which families may prefer to use, especially if the mayonnaise method is not effective or if another approach feels more appropriate for their child.
Please keep in mind that winter weather often causes dry scalps, which can lead to itching and flaking and may look like lice but is not. To help with dry scalp, try avoiding daily hair washing. Washing every other day or a few times per week can help prevent stripping the scalp of its natural oils.

As of 3:00 p.m. today, there was no internet or phone service at the school. If the internet and phone service are the only barriers for tomorrow, we will plan to have school.
Students will be allowed to have phones, including elementary students; however, phones must remain put away unless directed by the school staff.

Congratulations to the Mossyrock Wrestling team! They competed in the Centralia Tiger Classic this weekend, 3 Mossyrock athletes competed in the Championship match. Including Bailey Gross who was crowned champion of her weight class. This small group of Mossyrock athletes are making big waves right now.
Tonight's girls basketball game is Varsity only @6:00 v Castle Rock. It is a Home game.
Join us for the Mossyrock Music Department Holiday Concert on Tuesday, December 16 at 7:00 PM in the Mossyrock High School Gym. Enjoy a festive evening of student performances and help spread holiday cheer. Suggested donation: One new toy for a child in our community. We hope to see you there!
