The Mossyrock School District Board of Directors is very pleased to announce that, following a very intensive search and interview process, we have selected Dr. Effie Jane Dean as the new Superintendent of the Mossyrock School District. Throughout this process, we gathered input from a variety of stakeholders regarding the qualities and experience our district needed the most moving forward. Those priorities played a significant role in evaluating applicants and eventually selecting Dr. Dean.
She is a very experienced Superintendent with significant Washington State rural school experience, demonstrated expertise in grant writing, and education management systems. She is also a fiscally responsible leader with a proven history of compliance, accountability, and effective communication. Her collaborative leadership style cultivates strong results-oriented teams among staff, students, parents, and community partners. The Mossyrock School District is very fortunate to have found such a highly qualified education leader to be part of our community.
On Tuesday, June 30th, at 7:00 pm in the District Boardroom, the Board of Directors will administer the oath of office and transfer all responsibilities and obligations to her as the new Mossyrock School District Superintendent.

Important Notice
All Community Key Access cards to the batting cage will be shut off on July 1st for the 2025β2026 school year.
What you need to do:
β’ Retain your key card in a safe place. It can be reactivated for use next season
β’ If you lose your key card, you will be charged a fee when you apply for access again
β’ You must re-apply for access for the 2026β2027 school year
