Workshop October 26th @ 6:00pm
Performs daily and long term maintenance, housekeeping and janitorial care of buildings and equipment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate and care for a variety of equipment including vacuum cleaners, buffers, shampooers, floor scrubbers, ladders, etc.
Sweep, vacuum, mop, strip and buff floors.
Dust, wash, wax, and polish furniture and woodwork. Clean blackboards, whiteboards, and other equipment.
Wash windows, blinds, walls and doors.
Empty and clean inside and outside waste receptacles.
Clean restrooms, drinking fountains, and all plumbing fixtures.
Replenishes tissue, towels, and soaps.
Change light bulbs including exit lights.
Pick up paper and other trash in school building or on school grounds.
Report to supervisor any damages, needed repairs, safety or health issues.
Load and unload furniture, materials, supplies, etc.
Set up meeting rooms.
Perform general light duty maintenance on buildings and grounds such as painting and minor repairs.
Work with limited supervision.
Act as lead worker and train new employees when requested.
Complete records and reports as required.
Open and secure buildings as required.
Know and follow district policy and chain of command.
Observe the rules of the school and principal.
Deal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, encouraging manner.
Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
Performs other duties as assigned.

βOn October 9th, 2026, two employees of the Mossyrock School District were placed on standard non-disciplinary paid administrative leave. Both were officially provided with the reasons for this paid leave and the conditions required. Administrative leave is a common tool used by school districts to provide the time and space needed to conduct an internal investigation.
The District has not made any determinations about whether any misconduct has occurred, and there are no concerns that anyone has been physically harmed. To preserve the integrity of the investigation, we will not discuss the substance of any allegation.
Our Regularly Scheduled Board meeting is Monday, October 19th, 2026, at 7:00pm in the Mossyrock School District Boardroom. We will not be facilitating verbal comment regarding this matter but will accept written comments that are signed and dated. These comments will be distributed to Board members. Finally, should people wish to provide verbal comment upon the regularly scheduled agenda they will be given the opportunity to do so at the conclusion of the scheduled Board Executive Session.

We are excited to announce that the Transportation Department will be launching BusRight on Route 5 within the next 24-48 hours.
BusRight is a mobile app that allows parents and guardians to track their student's bus location in real time, providing increased visibility and peace of mind throughout the school day.
If the initial rollout goes smoothly, additional routes will be activated over the following two weeks until all routes are utilizing the system.
We appreciate your patience and support as we implement this new service and look forward to providing families with an enhanced transportation experience.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform such school-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Abide by all laws, rules, and regulations in the State of Washington Transportation Manual.
Maintain such books and records as assigned by the supervisor.
Report all accidents to local school authorities and to Law Enforcement as required by law.
Follow time schedule for pick up and delivery of children.
Communicate effectively with the school staff and the public.
Stop at all railroad crossings and have visual and audible proof that it is safe to cross before proceeding.
Abide by all laws when loading and unloading passengers.
Maintain reasonable disciplinary control and follow proper procedures through the citation system.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for the bus each and every time it is in use to ensure the safety of the occupants.
Know and follow district policy and chain of command.
Deal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, encouraging manner.
Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
Keep interior and exterior of bus clean to an acceptable level.
Fueling of buses and other transportation vehicles as needed.
