Happy New Year!  It is hard to believe another year has come and gone.  First semester is wrapping up this month and second semester begins.  It is amazing how much growth our students make from one semester to the next.  Their  hard work and the work of the staff assisting them becomes a win-win situation for many.

As I reflect on the first half of the  year we had many students involved in athletics.  Our high school volleyball team was second in state, cross country had two students go to state and our jr. high girls basketball  team were league champs.  Our arts department flourished as well.  Students in the music classes put together a wonderful Veteran’s Day Assembly and a few short weeks later entertained many at the winter concerts.  Drama productions included an improve night and fairy tale theatre.  We have had the opportunity to bring back art this year and our students have been busy.  They showcased their art one evening, have displayed many art projects throughout our buildings, painted classroom windows and visited the art museum to name a few.

I look forward to the second half of the school year and the many great things it will  bring.  Another group of seniors will graduate in a few short months, our 8th graders will prepare to move to high school and our 6th graders will become jr. high students for the first time!  I have the most rewarding job to get to be a part of all of this with our students.  Success belongs to everyone and that is what we are all about.  You are welcome to contact me at any time.
