Process for vendors:

School Choice:
Public School Choice: What right does a parent have to request a transfer to a school that is not in
a step of improvement?

Elementary:
All parents/guardians of students attending a school that has been identified in a step of improvement
(i.e., Step 2, 3, or 4) have the right to request a transfer for their child(ren) to another school within the
district (referred to as a “choice school”) that has not been identified as a school in a step of improvement.
As you are aware, we have only one elementary school in the district, and
we do not have any charter schools in our district. Other elementary schools bordering ours are also in
school improvement, and therefore are not available for public school choice.

Secondary:
All parents/guardians of students attending a school that has been identified in a step of improvement
(i.e., Step 2, 3, or 4) have the right to request a transfer for their child(ren) to another school within the
district (referred to as a “choice school”) that has not been identified as a school in a step of improvement.
As you are aware, we have another 7-12 school in our district, Mossyrock Academy. Mossyrock
Academy was not identified as a school in improvement. If you would like to
